Show and Tell Friday....

Happy Show and Tell Friday! Last Sunday my mom surprised me during a visit by pulling out some old boxes. Little did I know that inside was a beautiful hot chocolate set that was my great grandmother's and that my mom was giving it to me! I don't know how old it is. It only says 'Made in Germany' on the bottom, but I am enchanted. I love the colors and the gold on the handles. So beautiful! So, thanks mom! You are amazing!!!!

    Hi, that is a lovely set. Roses are always a favorite and the fact that it is from "family" makes it even better. Those are treasures to enjoy. Thanks for sharing.

    Beautiful. Reminds me of one my grandmother had. She used to have ladies over for a tea and bible study/prayer group many moons ago when my dad was a boy. She loved "fine" things. Thanks for sharing

    Actually, you have a chocolate pot set, not a tea set. Teapots and coffeepots both have spouts. Chocolate pots can have spouts, but usually have more of a lip like a pitcher. The set is gorgeous and you are truly blessed to have such a wonderful family heirloom.
